Trend Alert: Clashing Prints are IN

So last week we wrote about how the whole damsel in distress thing is out, thus reflecting a the economic hardships that are currently plaguing our country.

Yes, if you take a good look around you, motorcycle boots and bomber jackets are the golden rule- they are both everywhere and anywhere.

However, call it a sixth sense if you must, but we also stated that (and we quote): "And, as the ultimate sign of mainstream acceptance, stores such as Top Shop and Forever 21 are now carrying a plethora of biker jackets, leather vests and calf-clutching jeans."

Well ladies, from the looks of the spring runways, men's wear as women's wear is oh so out, because as we all know, once broad scale mainstream acceptance deems something cool, it no longer is.

And the NEW word is that designers are letting loose! Dries Van Noten, Derek Lam, Proenza Schouler, Givenchy, Kenzo, Miu Miu- they are all sending out a dizzying array of, what is often, head to toe clashing prints!

Intrigued? Alarmed? Excited? All of the above? One thing is for sure, you should just throw away your fashion rulebook because what was once wrong, is now right.
