Dress to Impress, him or her?

Coco Chanel once said, “A fashion that does not reach the streets is not a fashion.” We Fein girls couldn’t agree more, but recent trends like Harem pants, boyfriend jeans, overalls, & clogs have flooded the streets of New York, and men couldn’t be any less appalled.

Twenty-one year old Leandra Medine, creator of blog, The Man Repeller, has captured the attention of the New York fashion world; she posts photos of herself in uber-trendy outfits that are loved by women, but that puzzle and disgust men.

Medine’s fashion insight has captured the attention of big names like Harpers Bazaar and Lucky; the idea behind her blog stemmed from a conversation she had with a friend in the fashion industry.

Medine’s blog is entertaining and humorous. We love her energy and the way she encourages women to rebel in repel wear.

She accepts that there are men who are willing to look past the excess material and chunky shoes. “I do think there are men who would see a girl wearing this stuff and think, ‘She has so much confidence and she still looks great despite the fact that I don’t know where her crotch starts in those pants’...you can still tell when a girl is pretty. The men who really get repelled by what you’re wearing are a little shallow, and you probably don’t want to date them anyway,” she told the Times.

We Fein girls want to know what you think! Tell us about your favourite outfits that seem like they repel men...

Xoxo,
The Fein Girls
