Thank us now or later...
The month of October was all about playing dress up and indulging in sweet tricks and treats, but in this month of giving thanks, it’s all about the celebration of divine goodness! A true American tradition will take place on the fourth Thursday of this month, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. The magnificent procession will begin its course at 77th street and Central Park West, and conclude its course at 7th avenue and 34th street. Fun fact: In 1924, Macy’s employees (1st generation immigrants) originated this event in hopes to pay respect to their newfound American Heritage by celebrating Thanksgiving in European Fashion; thus creating a legacy that would continue throughout the years to come. The event is exceptional in its style and is always unique year after year. We love to admire the creative detail that goes into each and every float; the visual stimulations awaken the inner child in each individual present. The parade features an amazing troupe of talent, including cartoon favorites, mega balloons and live performances. Looking left and right to see every spectator in complete awe is truly a utopian moment. This year’s lineup includes Kanye West, Gladys Knight, Joan and Melissa Rivers, and Juanes; returning from 2009 will be the cast of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the Big Apple circus, and the cast and Muppets of Sesame Street. Show the ones you mostly adore, the thanks and appreciation they deserve! Come check out the lavish display of American Entertainment, and help uphold this Thanksgiving tradition. The early bird gets the worm, so prepare to get there a few hours before the floating begins to get the money spot. Can’t make it? Make sure to tune in on NBC, the official broadcaster of this event since 1955.
Xoxo,
The Fein Girls
