We're Going Mad!

We’re going mad, for Mad Men that is, and it seems as though trends from the popular Mad Men series have jived their way off the small screen and onto this season’s runways. Fall/Winter is all about classic femininity, a la Peggy Olsen or Betty Draper- as we see the 1950’s and 60’s inspired fashion swing its way back into style.

From voluminous tea length skirts with cinched waists, to ultra feminine dresses, that so effortlessly give the illusion of a pin-up hourglass silhouette, think less Audrey Hepburn and more Marilyn Monroe aka REAL woman!

Bias cut skirts draped in heavy wools, were carried over from the floral cottons of the Spring/Summer runways, putting a new twist –and shout on the 1950’s housewife look.

Adapt the look to your own personal style by adding a fitted top to give you an effortless sixties secretary look. The Fein Girls are also loving full skirts paired with a corset or tucked in silk chiffon blouse.

Accessorize with a lady-like purse or slouchy Opera gloves, like the covetable pieces from the Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 campaign and you’re good to go daddy-o!
