To Clog or Not to Clog?

The infamous clog just might be resurfacing to the fashion world. Of course Karl Lagerfeld does it again as he reintroduces the clog during the Chanel Spring 2010 show in Paris. These sky high wooden platforms are many wondering if are officially back in style. And with Lagerfeld’s chic twist to them, it makes you wonder why they ever went away. But then again when you look back over time, you remember why. No matter what your take is on return of the clog, you have to give it to the designers who are trying to convert the shoe, once only worn by medical professionals, into a work of art.

Now fashionistas, please don’t confuse clogs with the dreadful croc that has seemed to plague our culture for a couple of years now. Frankly the epidemic has gone on long enough, and although it brings comfort, whoever said fashion wasn’t suppose to hurt? Well looking at the variety of crocs that seem to continue come to market is starting to hurt. They now have a boot and a high heel, and it is so unfortunate that people actually are starting to confuse fashion for comfort. The two has never meshed and crocs certainly aren’t the way to begin the collaboration.
