The 2010 Tony Awards - Sophisticated Fun

Yesterday’s Tony Awards promised to bring exquisite dresses down the red carpet…until it didn’t. While there were some sharp selections, others must have let the rain cloud their judgment. Needless to say, we were underwhelmed. But let’s focus on our favorites --

Lucy Liu adorned our favorite look of the night. She radiates in a gorgeous, sophisticated yet fun peachy-pink gown complete with drop earrings and a fresh face. Flawless.

Everything about Scarlett Johansson’s look is exquisite. Her emerald green beaded Ellie Saab gown shows off her elegance and poise, and her fun hair adds some extra magic.

Helen Mirren can do no wrong in our eyes. Classic, chic, age appropriate. How fabulous does she look?! Obsessing over the off-the-shoulder look with a fun bedazzlement, bright pink lips and delicious hairstyle.

We die for the bold color choice by gLee’s Lea Michele, who turned heads in this Zac Posen gown, complete with the perfect makeup. Simple and stunning.

Catherine Zeta-Jones usually impresses, but we can’t decide how we feel about this choice. Pretty color, but the Versace gown is a little too Cinderella-esque, and what’s with the matching eye shadow?

We admire Cate Blanchett for taking a risk, but this Armani Privé pantsuit draws mixed reviews. There is too much silver shine, but we love that it’s different.

And there you have it. Some of our favorites, and some we still can’t decide on from this year’s polished Tony’s red carpet.

XOXO,

The Fein Girls
