Safari Chic

This summer is full of canvas and khaki, raffia and jute trim, bone buttons, pendants and jewelry and don’t forget this season’s new “It skin”— python! The Fein Girls are jumping on this Safari trend, like a lion on its prey! Apparel, handbags or jewelry... we love it all!

Since the majority of the population cant go out and purchase the season’s hottest Python London clutch by Ralph Lauren, for example ($2495 at RalphLauren.com shown above), we decided to pull together some of our favorite safari-inspired products all under $400.

The first piece is a Diane von Furstenberg button-down sundress in ivory ($365 at Barneys.com). This dress portrays simple elegance and would be great with flats for the weekend and paired with an oversized sun hat, you’d exude opulence.

Next is a Colorblock Seed Bead necklace from Charlotte Russe ($10.50 at CharlotteRusse.com). This ridiculously inexpensive African inspired necklace is great for any safari chic look!

Try the Leather Woven belt (now $27 at BananaRepublic.com) in mustard yellow, that reminds of the desert sands and would pair nicely with almost any color – navy blue or bright red being our favorite.

If you’re wanting to splurge a little, this gorgeous MICHAEL, Michael Kors Ganesvoort Large Tote ($398 at MichaelKors.com) in canvas with leather straps and trim is perfect! It’s classic MK and is perfect with almost any summer look.

For something with structure and a little hunter chic, we love this Armani Exchange vest in olive green ($78 at ArmaniExchange.com).

Last, but not least is a sexy pair of Nine West wedges ($70 at NineWest.com) in ivory canvas with camel leather straps. Nine West hit the nail on the head with these wedges and they are the perfect example of the Safari trend. Pair them with any of the pieces mentioned and you are set!

Now that we’re ready to book our next African Safari, we leave you to decide what Safari chic look you’ll splurge on next! And remember, too much of a good trend can leave you looking more in 'costume' than in 'style', so keep it simple by adding a touch of trend.

Xoxo,

The Fein Girls
