Friendship Bracelets; fashion faux pas or just simply fashionable?

Once the delight of pre-adolescent girls worldwide, the friendship bracelet has resurfaced and hit the fashion radar in a big way. Gone are the days when you sat around the campfire and braided them yourself whilst you gossiped about boys and which Babysitters Club character you were (um, hello OBVIOUSLY I'm Stacey, the blond shopping addict from New York, who lies to her 18-year-old, harmonica-playing, Swedish boyfriend and tells him she is 16 when she is actually THIRTEEN!) Ah, crazy kids!

Anywho, yes, I was majorly obsessed with both the BSC and friendship bracelets, and yes, I am pleasantly surprised to see them back in swing, but something about rocking a Dior friendship bracelet feels a little...inauthentic? I am a little on the fence about this, so we would love any and all input! What do you guys think about said topics? Feel free to comment on designer friendship bracelets, which Babysitters Club Character you were, or your feelings on 18-year old, harmonica playing, Swedish exchange students living in Connecticut for the summer!

xoxo
