All Hands on Deck, for Jil Sander Navy

With harsh times fading away, our wardrobes could use a pick- me – up and Jil Sander knows exactly what we need.

In an attempt to reach a more diverse target market, Jil Sander has a new bridge line hitting stores in January 2011, called Jil Sander Navy.

With a change in the market, companies are finding efficient ways to keep loyal customers and gain new followers at the same time. Jil Sander is known for their modest neutrals and structured cuts, but creative director, Raf Simons, added a splash of bright color to the spring ’11 collection to revitalize their look.

Colors such as magenta, kelly green, orange, and cool shades of blue dazzle among the neutrals normally used throughout the RTW line. By using vibrant colors on their classic trench coat, shirtdresses, and casual T-shirts, customers won’t be able to say no to these practical staple pieces.

By lowering prices and adding spirited prints to the collection, the company hopes to expand and get positive responses from the Japan and U.S market.
