Before Gaga, There was Galliano.

The theme was equestrian as Christian Dior's spring 2010 couture show walked this afternoon in Paris. And we were relieved. Last year John Galliano sent a plethora of scantily-clad, willowy models down the runway in not much more than bras, and slips, (occasionally pairing a bra or a slip with a ballgown skirt), and while the craftsmanship was just as superb as Galliano's legendary showmanship, it's nice to return to an era where lingerie is no longer considered outerwear.

Today, the models sported riding crops and side-saddle skirts and already critics are heaping heavy amounts of praise--but they tend to on the regular with Galliano.

From a personal standpoint?

We Fein Girls are rather fond of the collection- particularly the cocktail dress worn by Chanel Iman- but the ballgowns were quite pretty as well. It is reported that front-row celebs Dita Von Teese and Kylie Minogue breathed gasps of admiration upon viewing the ornate creations which were large enough to hide a refugee or two.

Overall? We dig it.

And while I have your attention, I feel it necessary to comment on Galliano's deliverance of the "Man-sete": my own play on words to describe the male corsets he sent down the runway in his fall 2010 men's collection.

What do you guys think of the man-sete?
Let us know, and stay tuned because we are bringing you all the news from Paris.
Until tomorrow lovelies,

xx The Fein Girls
