News Alert: No LBDs at Chanel!

Is silver the new black? Are dresses making way for shorts? Could the Tin Man be the next style icon?!?Such are the questions that are flowing through our minds as we contemplate Karl Lagerfeld's vision of the future that was sent down the runway today for Chanel's Spring 2010 Couture Collection. The LBD was not the only tradition that was absent, classic braiding was replaced with silver lining, suits were redesigned, A-line skirts were replaced by tulle-trimmed shorts, and there was not one chain to be seen.

It was Chanel 2.0 and there to take you on this space oddity was Karl himself, with an army fingerless-gloved models by his side, (and one gold-suited Baptiste Giabiconi, to escort the final look...hence: Tin Man)

Lagerfeld dubbed the collection “neon-baroque”- we find it very Madame Bovary meets Brave New World, and we like this world; especially since there was not a single clog in sight!
