So, critics have not been lavishing an incredible amount of glory of Valentino's Spring 2010 collection.
The word has been: "cool" but alas, "trying too hard". And while we guess we see their point, it has to be pointed out that Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli have the monumental task of revamping the entire label, while at the same time respecting the brand's heritage.
No easy feat- and after Alessandra Fachinetti's very sudden dismissal from the label, can you blame them for wanting to play it a little bit safe?
We think this collection is certainly a step in the right direction, and we are even on board with the whole, Garden of Eden-thing, but is it just us, or does the hair and make-up just not seem to entirely go with the clothes?
Maybe it's just us, maybe we've gone a little loony this afternoon due to excess diet cokes and sugar-free gum chewing, but something minor seems off.
What about you guys? Do you love it? Hate it? Do you think we're horribly, horribly wrong? Or injustifiably right?
Let us know!
